Rashomon by Akira Kurosawa- Film Analysis

RASHOMON by Akira Kurosawa- Film Analysis Krutika Shinde Three men take over a roof which is Rashomon's gate because of the rain. There was nothing to do but to wait till the rain gets over so as to pass the time they talked about a topic where a woman was raped and a man was murdered in a forest. There are many Hollywood or Bollywood films about a murder mystery but Akira Kurosawa created Rashomon, which shows the truth of human nature and how a human lies to be safe by keeping the truth hidden. The film is about a story of a murder mystery and how each witness describes a single event differently.   In this film, we hear from four witnesses which are the thief, the samurai's ghost, the samurai's wife, and the woodcutter. This was the flashback as they were telling the story to the third person. Varda by Agnes - Film Analysis

VARDA by Agnes- Film Analysis Krutika Shinde Varda by Agnes is the final film of the late Agnes Varda. It is a blend of autobiography and of her career as a filmmaker. It wasn't mentioned anywhere but I think Agnes made this film as her farewell to her own art which is filmmaking.  The format of the film is simple. Agnes Varda sits in her chair in a movie theatre filled with people who are passionate to know about her career. She basically, shows a few of her clips from various films which she made throughout her life, and then she talks about it. It was like she was being a professor who lectures her students. She also uses various examples from her films in her class, which can be actually used in many classes across the world because those examples are from her movies which are splendid and are important as well, these examples tell us about her career, her working methods, about her passion towards making films and about her whole life as well.  The thing which I personally l

It's a story about a Japanese man and a French actress who comes here to Hiroshima to take part in a film which is about peace and about the impact of the bomb on Hiroshima. They both have an intimate affair with each other. They also share a bond on similarities of their past. The Japanese man lost his family in the bombing while on the other hand, the French actress lost her first love who was a soldier in Nevers, and suffered a lot after it.  The opening scene was so impacting. The dust showering on their naked bodies completely covers them with it. It stands for the city of Hiroshima where many bodies were buried under the dust of bombs and are still unable to escape their past but, there are two bodies with different histories, it also says that the French actress has also suffered just like the city of Hiroshima did but in a different w
